The couple first crossed paths in the hallways of their high school, where Ryan's class graduated a year before Taylor's. With Ryan now at Loyola University Maryland and Taylor at Penn State, the two lost touch for almost eight years. But, fate had a beautiful plan in store for them!

In 2020 Ryan and Taylor discovered via social media that they had both moved across the country to Orange County, California. With her beloved dog, Sadie, in tow, Taylor suggested meeting for a coffee and some sunshine at Huntington Dog Beach one afternoon. As the hours flew by and the laughter flowed that day, they quickly realized that their hearts had always known each other.

In 2021, Ryan moved to Wisconsin to begin medical school. After three years of distance, and four years together, Ryan and Taylor have now made a home together in Wisconsin where they cherish long walks with Sadie, who (they believe) knew from that first beach date that they were meant to be a family. Together, the couple loves to road trip, exercise, cook, attend sporting events, hike, and spend time with their loved ones.

On August 24, 2024, with nerves and excitement swirling, Ryan asked Taylor to be his forever in Montverde, Florida. They celebrated their engagement weekend with beloved friends and family who had traveled to be there for the surprise. With many moves and milestones on the horizon, the couple knows there are upcoming adventures around every corner. Their journey has taught them the strength of selfless love, the importance of timing, and the magic of second chances.
